Mounting Court

The mounting court is just outside the indoor arena. A place for gathering and preparing for the days ride.

Watering Trough

Fresh water is recirculated for the horses to drink. The fountain / trough is seat height with rings for horse tie-ups.

Outdoor Arena

The prescription sand / clay mix area is 130' x 250'

Arena Observation Deck

Elevated just enough to see and be safe. The deck is made from reclaimed barrels from the company factory.

Legacy Tree

The large Oak was worked around in the design of the equestrian center.

Buffalo

Buffalo have a home on the Morgan Farm. This pasture was the site of an old Christmas tree farm.

New 2 Acre Lake

The lake is a place to fish and for small boats to enjoy the water.

Drive thru the Woods

The drive through the woods was done without damaging any large trees. As you exit the woods you get a glimpse of the lake.

The Show Rings are situated near the yearling barns. Show pavilion, custom edge bricks, and limestone pathways set up the ceremony. The simple evergreen plantings enclose and create the space.

The farm office is sited to overlook the horses in their pastures and the newly constructed 10 acre lake. Seatwalls flank the entry of the motor court that provide a place for casual conversations.

Plantings for the farm entry are informal. This allowed for soil specific plantings to survive where they do best from low drainage areas to high and dry spots. The informal massing of trees were used to frame good views and hide others.

We have received my compliments on the project. We protected the creek that runs through the farm and Midway. By holding the pastures behind the creek it created a beautiful front yard to the Campus and Historic Town.

Morgan Farm

Buffalo are part of the Morgan Farm operations. We are currently in construction of the Equestrian Center and Design of the Farm Expansion. The farm elements are horses, buffalo, longhorns, pheasant, quail, fishing, and shooting.
